Guided Artistic Program – Peace

Session 10: Peace

Shadow work: Guilt

This group art therapy session explores the theme of peace through the metaphor of mirrors—reflecting both the self and our relationships with others. Just as calm water reflects the sky, mirrors invite us to see ourselves with clarity, acceptance, and compassion. This session invites participants to engage creatively with reflection as a path toward inner calm and harmony.

Session Structure

  • Opening & Grounding (30 minutes)
The session begins with a welcoming circle and a guided meditation focused on stillness and self-reflection. Participants are encouraged to observe their thoughts and feelings with gentle curiosity, creating a peaceful inner space.

  • Creative Reflection – Expressive Process (1 hour)
Participants will use various art materials to create mirror-themed artworks—this could include literal mirror images, symmetrical designs, or symbolic representations of reflection and peace. The process encourages mindfulness and presence, inviting participants to explore how peace arises from self-awareness and acceptance.
Gentle music, tea, and biscuits will accompany the session, fostering a calm and supportive atmosphere. No artistic experience is required.

  • Reflection & Integration
The session concludes with time for participants to share their artwork and insights, either within the group or privately with the facilitator. The focus is on personal meaning, emotional resonance, and the experience of peace as a lived and creative process.

This session offers a serene space to cultivate peace—through reflection, creativity, and compassionate presence with oneself and others.

To ensure these sessions remain accessible, they are offered on a donation basis rather than at a fixed fee. Participants are invited to contribute according to their individual financial capacity. This approach is intended to create an inclusive space where everyone can take part while honoring personal circumstances.

This isn’t a creative lab! Is not simply a space for artistic experimentation. It is a guided mindfulness-based practice that integrates multiple art forms with a holistic understanding of the brain–body connection, carefully designed to expand awareness and support personal renewal. Each session invites participants into a focused yet flexible process where creative expression becomes a pathway to insight, presence, and sustainable well-being. By engaging sensory, symbolic, and embodied practices, the work supports the body’s natural capacity for regulation, balance, and restoration, honoring and supporting it’s natural rhythms and intelligence.
